8 SPEED TRANSMISSION ISSUES

2019 GMC Sierra 8-speed transmission 62,000 miles needs a Complete Transmission.  Quoted $5,300.00 at Integrity GMC in Chattanooga, Tn. which is also where the truck was purchased.

Has anyone noticed the 8 speed doesn’t shift down to first gear at a rolling stop. Even on a hill I have to manually shift it to first unless I stop long enough for the start/stop feature to kill the engine.

So here is my experience I also had the 1-2 shift problem mine is a 2020  been to dealer 5 time 36k miles  2 fluid flushes  then they changed to torque converter  and Valvebody  continued to do was  even told you have to break the fluid in bs I work on cars I know better 

even had the manager go on drive and showed him what it does  said yep that’s not right  then called at end of day to come get there is nothing they can do  2 months later it had a catastrophic failure welded the clutch plates together   So now the truck has been at the dealer for 3 months waiting on a transmission they are on national back order tried to get gm to do a buy back they refused  never in my life  have I experienced this kind of service. Will be sold if I ever get it back and after owning 6 Silverados it will be my last   Gm you suck
