What to expect during ownership?

2021 sierra evolution 

13xxx kilometres on it. 

 

2 days ago the display was replaced due to freezing and screen going blank. 

 

Today I brought it back due to misfiring, service esc and park brake. 

Just got the call that it needs the lifters on the right bank. 

 

What else is common???

Just do some reading on this forum and you can find a lot of issues "some" owners have with their trucks.

If you have a sliding rear window, keep an eye on it because a leak might be expected at some point.

But beyond that, the issues you’ve had don’t really mean you have a piece of junk that’s gonna break down constantly. Stuff happens. Vehicles are more complex than ever. I’m on a lot of groups and the same thing happens to all makes and models.

I have a 2019 GMC Sierra purchased in Jan 2020 and just 2 months ago the rear window decided to start leaking.  Rear window with slider has been replaced. Still waiting for the dealership to install new carpet in the rear after it sat on their lot for 2 weeks soaking up the rainwater. 

Previous to that, the 3rd brake light had to be resealed within the first year. 

Aside from those two leaks, I’ve had no issues. 

 

I do use Premium fuel and full synthetic oil. I have just over 30k on the odometer today.
