2017 Sierra Tow capability

I have a 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT.  4 door SuperCab.

5.3 liter V8

3.42 rear axle ratio.  

 

According to the book it appears I can tow up to 9200 pounds.

 

Am I reading that correctly?

Sounds right.

 

If you hitch up a trailer weighing 9,200 lbs, it will likely exceed the trucks GCWR around 15,000lbs and available payload (GVWR is around 7200lbs). All from memory so double check.
