Steve Melanson Posted June 15, 2021 Posted June 15, 2021 I have a 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT. 4 door SuperCab. 5.3 liter V8 3.42 rear axle ratio. According to the book it appears I can tow up to 9200 pounds. Am I reading that correctly?
asilverblazer Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 (edited) Sounds right. If you hitch up a trailer weighing 9,200 lbs, it will likely exceed the trucks GCWR around 15,000lbs and available payload (GVWR is around 7200lbs). All from memory so double check. Edited June 16, 2021 by asilverblazer
