Hi all,

I just traded my Sierra Denali. It was a 5.3, with the technology package.

Great vehicle but needed more cab room.

Anyways, I got 60k for my trade, paid 64k over a year ago with 18k miles on it now.

i was happy in only losing 4K.

Got a well equipped 2021 Suburban Z71.

I love the look of it, even fits in my garage better since 6 inches shorter.

I do miss HUD, Front camera and HD rear view mirror.

Absolutely love the front end and it feels lifted. Kind of reminds me of the Trail Boss.

I would not compare it to my Rubicon in off-roading, but I bet the Z71 would be great at over-landing.

just sold on the looks of it. Not missing the Sierra. I wish that I could add the HD rear view mirror of HUD to my new Z71.

Nice.   I'm going to buy a Suburban Z71 as soon as I find the right truck and the right price.

You've got the same color I want.  Did you get the sunroof or the digital gauges?  I won't buy one with a roof, but I prefer the digital gauges.

The Z71 is the sweet spot in the Suburban lineup.

Thanks, I went with the panoramic moon roof and the 2nd row bucket seats. Other than that no other extras. MSRP was 66k.

Mine came with the analog gauges. Had the digital in my Sierra but not missing it too much.

The Z71 Suburban looks the best to me out of the Suburbans and Tahoe’s. Most of my past cars were Wranglers and 4Runners.

Do you guys know if those middle captain chairs can be swapped out for a bench seat? Thanks!

The 2nd row captains chairs are an upgrade. The RST package seemed to include the 2nd row bench.

I am not 100% sure if you can swap out for a bench, since the captains chair move forward and appear to be bolted down.

Are you happy with the trade? Have you done any upgrade on your Suburban?

Very happy with the trade. Like the look of the Z71 so much more.

I miss some of the tech features of the Denali, but not enough to want to trade back.

I put in the same GM floor liners that I had in the GMC. Kept the carpet looking perfect. I may go for the lighted front Chevy logo, or the rear cargo net for storage.

I may go for a utility trailer for the Suburban or the Jeep.

Nice, OP! I was very close to pulling the trigger in trading my Silverado RST Z71 for an AT4 Yukon (I wanted the better interior tech and the eLSD rear). I just couldn't do it because the discounts were non-existent, and the residual on the big SUVs are way worse than the full size trucks.

Also, I just couldn't envision my life without a truck bed.

    • I Wouldn't Know Where to Begin    Oh I know where I would begin but I'm just one of over eight billion people on this rock. Eight billion versions of where the goal post is. How large it should be. How far to kick from. What ball is the right ball. Elevation. Age.....are you getting the point? It isn't about disagreeing with one individual. It's about agreeing only with one individual. One's self.   Agreement comes when multiple people hold the same point already. THAT is the goal of an education. Building the Social Contract. That thing that allows us to all read this sentence. We've agreed on the alphabet and how to arrange those letters into words we agree upon whose meanings hold true for everyone entering into that contract. Those words arranged into a sentence form an idea and several sentences strung together in a paragraph convey an argument for or against or inform the reader of a state, condition or perhaps reveal a things nature. Paint a word picture. Make oneself known.    This contract is not limited to words although they are often explained by words. Things like numbers and their usefulness. Physics, Chemistry, Medicine, Music, Art and so on.    The frequency of middle C (C4) is 261.63 Hz. We build on that to make music we all can enjoy even if we all can not compose or play. You don't have to master it to make it enjoyable and useful.    So why is the Beginning so difficult? Why is agreement so elusive?   Everyone "Signs" the contract (when receiving that education in obtaining it)  but fewer and fewer in this world have any intention of living by that contract. They find exploiting that contract more advantageous. Disruption. With intent. Without intent. In Ignorance. In your face. With a double dog dare you. With a hold my beer. In resistance to that contract and in spite how it looks on us. It permeates the very air we breath.    In this way the contract is subject o advantage. Abide by it when it serves you, disregard it when it doesn't. Unpredictable and self-serving. Corrosive.....Toxic........   It says a lot about a persons character to disregard the contract, the truth, first principles. None of it good.        ********************************************************   https://medicine.yale.edu/news-article/character-vs-personality-who-we-are-and-who-we-aspire-to-be/   Just an interesting article.
    • It costs $5,250 for the Yukon Nightfall option (black wheels, emblems and illuminated black GMC grill badge). What a "deal".
    • I keep getting the above error message on my 25 Sierra.  If I reset the infotainment unit (via the phone hang up button) it will work again for a day or 2.   But I dont want to do have to reset  all the time. Works fine in my 2023 Corvette. On both vehicles I connect wirelessly.   I have a Google Pixel 10 Pro XL, phone is up to date.  Any Ideas.  See attached
    • LOL, its thrown a few people because this item is being talked about in the gas part of the HD forum. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to put a very brief wording in your profile with the year/GM or Chev/2500 or 3500/ and yes the 6.6 Duramax. When I joined this forum I could see the confusion ensuing for my own truck unless I had it listed with my chosen name handle unless one has a few vehicles that apply to a GM forum as that becomes confusing as well. Anyway its all good, makes for a little forum excitement 😉
    • Gasgacinch, James Gaskets. Good stuff. High tac to help hold the gasket in place while assembling parts. Fills minor surface imperfections. Slightly elastic. Gasoline / coolant / oil proof. Very handy stuff. Nothing like RTV.
