2020 Silverado 3500 HD 6.6 gas w/6 speed transmission

Bought a new 2020 3500hd 8 months ago at 5,800 miles 2 weeks ago shifting went weird. Wasn't hitting the gears correctly felt as the truck was jumping between gears . Then a loud clanking sound from the tranny all within an hour of driving. Stopped and had to it towed to the dealer they told me yep tranny torque converter. They kinda put me in the dark about any other details. They said rebuilding its been 2 weeks in shop. Not comfortable with that rebuild since they said metal in fluid. So heading over to the dealer tomorrow not real happy about this.

sucks man.....mine was great, only had it for short time but was solid motor and tranny, sure 10 spd prolly better but i never wanted anymore from it but yeah man hopefully they get it worked for you.....

You might get more replies to your thread if you had put it in the correct subforum.  Must people in the 1/2 ton trucks subforum may not be able to help due to not being familiar with the trans in your truck.  Not trying to be a Richard, nor start anything.  Just saying, the trans in your truck is different from what's put in our trucks.
