Ramsse Posted July 10, 2021 Posted July 10, 2021 My 2017 Silverado is shaking at low speed. Took it to the dealer and I got the answer that everyone loves “is the wheels” but I’m convinced that is not the wheels. If someone could give me some advice. Is a 5.3 4 wheel drive LTZ Z71. Thank you,
Jsdirt Posted July 13, 2021 Posted July 13, 2021 (edited) Could be anything the way they're built today. Bad / cheaped-out u-joints, bad / cheaped-out hub bearings, engine misfiring, failing differential components, internal transmission component failures, and the list goes on. Mine had out of round rotors and hub bearings right from the factory. Had 6 or 7 (lost count!) warranty brake jobs before the 36k mile end. With 40 miles on the clock during the test drive, the brakes would shake your fillings out. The '94 K1500 I was driving with 266k miles on it was smoother (and quieter inside with no squeaks and rattles unlike the '07!!) No vibes felt when off the brakes though, so mine was a different issue. Edited July 13, 2021 by Jsdirt miserable punctuation failure
