Over heating transmission 6l80e

I got a 14 Silverado, fresh fluid flush new filter new gasket bypassed thermal valve on the side of the trans so it always flows open. Constantly shifting it can’t seem to decide what gear it’s in. Also it will not stay below 200 F I’m not towing anything the bed is empty it’ll hit 200 on a cool 70 degree day and it’s not even stop and go traffic please help. I’m at the end of my rope. ………… flushed the trans cooler it’s still climbing in heat any other ideas ?

Update to situation

Make sure the cooler is clear / clean, and isn't internally plugged. Also check to be sure the torque converter is locking. Usually failure to lock up will throw a code, though. 

 

Just for reference, my built 4L60E towing on the highway will stay 70° above ambient temperature on average. The stock trans averaged about 100° above ambient empty, and 120° above when towing, so there is definitely something wrong.

 

As for the constantly shifting, that's the feeling I get whenever I drive one of these newfangled 6 or 8 speed trannys. Feels to me like they're just rowing non stop. Too new for me to know what's normal and what isn't.

Thanks I didn’t even think to check if the trans cooler was clogged it could be. Now the temp will go from 184 to 186 back to 184 for a few minutes than it’ll go back to 186 and keep climbing from there. I’ll flush the cooler just to make sure and it’s not kicking any codes thank you for the tip
