Key fob not working

This morning my key fob for my '20 silverado decided to stop working. I've replaced the battery and still get no reaction from the truck when pushing a button. Ive got my spare on the way, but does anyone know why this might have happened in the first place?

Nope, but did you try placing it in the square bin between the front cup holders (or wherever the owners manual tells you to for your truck)?

You may want to ignore my previous post, or give it a try.  It's up to you.  However, I did just come across something else that may explain your issue.  I stumbled upon this while for something else.  It's TSB 20-NA-115.  The remote antenna amplifier may have failed.  One way to check is hold your remote against the door and see if it works.  If so, it may be the RAA.

I did give that a try, when I did that it did actually start. However, when I put it I to drive the display was warning me that the remote was not in the vehicle.

And putting the fob close to the door doesn't do anything.
