Cell tower interference with TPMS

Hello, Just returned from a trip up north, in mountains of N C West Va. the DIC informed me to Service Tire Monitor System. when i returned took in to GMC for service they said nothing wrong with system it was cell tower interference. Is this a real problem?

How close are they saying is too close to a tower? I ask because we have one at the gas station 1/2 mile down the street. I go there all the time but have not had that issue.

Maybe if you park under one for hours it can mess with it but normal driving passing them, then no.

I’ve had this happen to me twice in the past few days where driving and the tpms lights flash and it says to service. I checked the tire pressure on the screen and tow wheels were showing nothing. Few miles later came back normal. Then again later in the drive flashed again and  the two other wheels showed nothing.

 

guessing it might be some sort of interference
