2021 Yukon Denali - no wireless Android Auto

Thats very odd... The truck was built without Wireless CarPlay or Android Auto, all they had to do was lookup the build. There could be some region specificity but still very odd...

Did not see that coming.

The thing is everyone just answered me on the spot. That's why I kept going to different channels and hoping for a positive response.

Is there any way it can be added? down the line?

I'm thinking if they bring the 2022 model next year and maybe it will be equipped with it, do you think by then, it can be added to my truck through the service center?

It can be added, not something a service center can do properly though sadly. I'd be curious which part number radio is in that truck.

I checked the post of the guy changing the radio, TBH doubt I can do it with ease to get access.

If I was confident I could, I'd purchase the radio through WAMS and get it done with.

Hello, i can confirm that neither android auto nor apple carplay work wirelessly. I also recently purchased the yukon denali and was disappointed to know that both features disabled, as well as the “mygmc” app which i am not sure what it does but i know it is not there as well as the wifi hotspot feature. I hope that since it is a regional issue (i think it works in other gcc countries) they would be able to fix it in an update in the future. What is also a bummer is them releasing a new digital dash display only a year after they introduce a fully redesigned model. But it is what it is.

Which country did you purchase the Yukon ?

I wonder which GCC country has those features enabled.

But as GTPprix said, it's not just a software update. There is a piece of hardware that needs to be replaced.

Not sure how this fits in with posters in this thread, but it's not just the vehicle side that needs to be wireless AA / CP capable.

It's also necessary to have phone hardware capable of wireless AA or CP.

I understand that.

Phone is already capable.

Working wirelessly in other vehicles.
