2005 silverado

@005 silverado 1500 hd ls is overheating.  New radiator and coolant.  Anyone know why?

Just get a book and learn something about engines. Replacing parts willy-nilly is an expensive way to go.

 

Is there coolant in the oil, or vice-versa, and did you check the compression? Both of these can tell you if a head gasket is blown.

Does this have a 2500 HD cooling set up, or is it the 1/2 ton electric?

 Clutch on fan can cause this if the 2500 type.
