Whooo hoooo....truck has been built.  Looks like the heated seats and steering wheel were able to get snuck in as well.

Shouldnt be too much longer now (been since June).

Great news!! Mine is TPW of 11/29 ordered 8/6 hopefully ill have it soon, can't wait to get it.

Definitely a good feeling.  Long time waiting.  Others have waited alot longer than I have.  When I ordered my 2018 Camaro SS, I got that in six weeks after submitting the build to the dealer.  Big difference these days.

"One step forward, two steps back."

Truck is now listed as a "4000"  vs "4300" from last week.  Waiting on chips I was told from the dealer.  Ugh....so much for getting hopes up.  Hurry up and wait some more.

I checked my Order it bumped up to 3300 still with the TPW 11/29, I was wondering when they opened the Oshawa Plant back up and still didn't have enough chips for Flint if that would slow down production times and generate more hurry up and wait times even more.

I am still waiting on a delivery date.  My truck was built week of 11/15.  Chevy says..waiting on final inspections and the truck is at their Flint warehouse.

Dealer is saying..waiting on chips.

Hopefully, by Christmas.  I order the truck in June.

Got a call from dealer my truck didn't come in! They supposedly said it was delivering on 12/8 sent me all the info for my credit union got all of the insurance handled called me back yesterday afternoon said they had a tracker on the shipment which the dealer is a total of 2 miles from the plant, got a call this morning they have a guy at the plant looking to see what's up and if they can go pick it up. Now I'm starting to get a little P O, Guy at the plant said per dealer everything is just a scramble right now trying to keep parts flowing in and keeping track of what parts are missing on trucks and where they are stored getting them back into the plant to finish them and then to get them loaded out for deliveries. So, I'm back to who knows what about anything. Other problem is way too early to crack a beer.

Hurry up and wait...geesh.  At least you are getting a bed liner put in.

I have been messaging Chevy daily now and the dealer 3x/week.

Custom Crew cab 4x4 North sky Blue, Jet-Black Interior, 6.6 Gas, Custom value package, Safety Confidence package, Snowplow Prep package, 120-volt outlets, Aux Battery, LED Roof lights, Upfitter switch kit, $50685.00 Sticker. I didn't need a plush pony just a worken man's Truck! She's going to get dirty and worked. I haul a lot of tools and materials and haul construction trailers and Firer wood logs. There are a lot of trucks parked at the Flint plant and at the airport It took a crew to move trucks 2 days to get mine unburied. Hope you get yours soon.

Finally got to go and get the new Truck Friday all I can say is wow very nice it's huge makes my old 1 ton look like a 1/2 ton, I wasn't sure I was going to dig the Norhtsky-Blue color but it's much darker than the pictures I seen, the 20-inch rims are not bad looking either, the 6.6 gas moves this truck very well. After all the waiting and process of getting it, it was well worth it. I got what I wanted didn't have to pay for things on a vehicle I don't need and put on it what was important to me.

    • Link to the Demonworks video, 100k+ Duramax 3.0 that somehow survived on OLM-prescribed intervals and dealer oil service.
    • Stan, this thread is specifically related to the Duramax 3.0, in the 2019-2026 powertrain subforum. If you'd like to talk about your other vehicles and offer anecdotal stories about them, please consider starting a thread in forum that pertains to your truck, or the other vehicles/ Off-Topic section if they are not a GM truck.
    • Can someone tell me where the video processing module is in a 2023 Silverado? I'm getting conflicting results that it's in the front passenger area or the rear passenger area behind the seat.
    • Yes I agree, its what amounts to free advertising to let people know about his UOA testing company, and not that there is anything wrong with that but certainly that is a motivator for putting out videos about the science of oil as well as other topics such as oil and air filtration etc. The interesting part I found with his last video is not only the physics behind the reason for the varying wear due to a diesels working torque range causing more bearing load and that higher viscosity oil is of benefit, it was also that the chemistry behind the GM Dexos 0W-20 and the Mobil Dexos licensed 0W-20 are far enough apart that its showing up with a difference in wear even though the two oils are matched in viscosity and in that comparison viscosity was not having the finger pointed at it.    There are a few youtubers out there or one anyway that I have watched a bit of who has gone through the pains of accessing various countries manuals for a certain engine platform and while in the US/Canada it may say use 0W-20 or what have you for some Toyota product, in some other countries it sings a very different tune for the very same engine with the typical traditional oil viscosity/ambient temperature charts to help choose which oil viscosity is correct for the conditions the vehicle will be used in and in some cases its taken an engine in a US manual that states only use 0W-20 as per warranty coverage and yet that same engine in certain other countries may have up to a 15W-40 etc oil option that meets the spec. Another words the guy who is driving through Death Valley or Phoenix and south weather at 120f is often being fed a line of bs by the US system that has forced vehicle companies to restrict the warranty to a specific low viscosity oil for anterior reasons as well as the long drain interval suggestions.    Thankfully youtube is free ( yet anyway ) for viewers to sift through information and of course comes with the good and the bad ( truth and lies ) and we can choose to turn off/not watch what a person finds is bs or just not interested in the topic.
    • No doubt... But, as someone who doesn't pay for his services, but who has provided a few views/clicks on his Youtube platform, the data around the Mobil oil testing I think does have some value including to "freeloaders" like me.   A lot of what he's doing is likely showing the OE's work in their oil selection, something that many of us had kind of assumed was true all along, a good balance of both excellent protection and efficiency.
