Wastedtalent Posted December 4, 2021 Posted December 4, 2021 Good morning everyone, I have searched high and low for this answer and cannot find it so was hoping you all may know. My climate control works great. No issues with it working. My issue is the lights for it (specifically 2 buttons) no longer light up at night. Since it's only a 2018, obviously feel like that shouldn't be an issue. But dealer is telling me it may be hvac control, not under warranty. Since it does work, I'm doubting that. I'm thinking it's just 2 bulbs (if each button has its own individual bulb). Does anyone know if the climate control buttons have individual bulbs or if it's just a light strip or something like that?
BO TIE 1 Posted December 4, 2021 Posted December 4, 2021 When I had my 2014 Silverado I had a few lights out. They had to replace the whole unit.
dkmoneypit Posted December 17, 2021 Posted December 17, 2021 I'm having the same issue with my 2018 1500 Silverado. The rear defrost button was blinking on and off now it wont light up anymore. Now the upper and lower vent switch ( the one that you have on in your pic ) light is blinking on and off. I assume its just a matter of time before that light goes out also. Mechanically everything works. Just the button lights are starting to go out.

dkmoneypit Posted December 17, 2021 Posted December 17, 2021 I think I'll wait for a few more lights to go out before I replace the whole unit. Looks pretty straight forward. Thanks You
