2020 Chevy 1500 Durmax DEF in fuel

We have a truck down and need to get it fixed. We are looking for a Sprocket Holding Fixture EN52448-1. We are being told they are on backorder with no timeline of when it will be available. Does anyone know a mechanic/diesel mechanic that might have this tool? The truck is at a shop in Franklin, WI and has been stuck on a lift for 9 weeks so far. If you know anyone that would rent this tool to us please let me know.

Is it at a dealer?  If it is, its an essential tool and any Chevy or GMC dealer should have one around.  We have one and have had it for some time, but we are in NY.

 

GM Special Tools is showing backorder until Feb 22, 2022.  Hopefully the shop its at has a good relation with their local dealer and can maybe borrow one?

Congrats on finding a tool my brother doesn't own yet.  He initially thought it was for engine timing, until he read the description.  Won't stop him from making his own, but that won't help you right now.  He's going to contact his tool reps to see if they can find anything.  If so, he'll pass the info to me and I'll pass the info to you.  He's in Nevada, so please be patient.  Things don't move quickly outside of Vegas.
