What kit do you all recommend for achieving a good ride / handling on a daily driven 2016 RCSB Silverado? Truck is 2WD 5.3 V8. I don’t abuse the truck, I drive it kinda like a grandpa more than anything 🤣 I’ve decided that I want a 4/6 drop… maybe adjust it a bit to have a LITTLE bit of rake for the old school 80’s lowered truck look. As I said, it’s my daily driver, and a lot of miles are driven on the freeway. I’ve read that some people experience vibrations on certain kits and to me that doesn’t sound too good. I would like to still use the truck for pulling a trailer once in a while or hauling an engine or 2 in the bed. Would I still also need a C Notch with a 4/6 drop? There seems to be a lot of options but I want to build the best, solid kit I can to have a good looking but more importantly safe and well functioning truck! I see people upgrading control arms, springs / shocks etc and i would appreciate any help in building the best kit for an awesome lowered truck.

McGaughys and no you don't need to notch with a 6"

Thanks! Do you have any recommendations for helper bags?

I have a 2017 RCSB that I just did a 4/6 drop on back in October. I ended up using the MaxTrax 4/6 drop with spindles, shocks, and flip kit. I was going to go with BellTech, but they were backordered and kept pushing back the ship date. The guy said he sells more MaxTrax lowering kits than anything and they're made in the USA. I went with it and couldn't be happier. The ride is great and I've had no rubbing or bottoming out issues. I would suggest some helper bags if you plan to load up the bed or haul a trailer often. I also did solid front sway bar end links which seemed to help too.

Thanks for the helpful info! What sway bar end links did you use? I’ve also been looking into helper bags. What brand did you use? I’ve been liking the idea of Airlift bags

I have never used helper bags so no help there.

Also I meant to add to your original post, people get vibration with kits because they are too dumb to change their pinion angle. That is their own fault.

I just used these $25 end links from Amazon. They seem to work.

I can't help you with the helper bags. I never got any. I don't tow anything and I only load the bed down maybe once or twice a month and it hasn't bottomed out yet.

If you get any vibrations you can always put a shim in to change the pinion angle.
