Has anyone had there check engine light pop on and get a text message at the exact same time. I received this message today.

 

 
"Diagnostic Alert: Service the emissions system in your 2018 Sierra within 7 days. Txt STOP to cancel."

I would check the OBD2 codes at the local auto parts store. (Its free).

 

You probably have a stored or pending OBD2 code on bank one or bank two.

 

If it says sensor #1 - fix it.

If it says sensor #2 - you can safely ignore it.

I am going to put a scanner on tomorrow and check it. It has a pretty rough idle now all of the sudden
