So I Bought my 2002 Chevy Suburban 2500 LT about 3 months ago and today was my first time changing the oil. This piece was stuck to the magnetic drain plug and I have no clue what it is, or if I should keep driving it. The piece seems like hardened steel and is hollow. Please help

Kinda looks like the bottom of the dipstick tube.

Looking up the part, that has got to be it. Pretty cheap too, I'd buy a new one for the $14 it will cost plus shipping or get one at the dealership as it might be similar cost.

it does kinda look like that but it seems to be jagged in the wrong spots, the smaller end is smooth while the bigger one is sharp.

Ya know that makes perfect sense, the guy i bought it from said that they broke the tube while working on the AC pump. thanks!

Yeah, because it broke on the bigger end. That is why it's jagged.
