Hey Guys,

I just purchsed a 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 and I want to level it out. I have done reasearch on the forum and I have decided on the Bilstein 5100 shocks to level my rake. I see I can purchase just the front, or front and back. Does anyone have a recommendation on changing both frnt/back shocks, or am I good to just purchased the fronts? Thanks

I have only the rear 5100's installed currently and am doing the 5100 front's this weekend. The difference with the rears is night and day the truck has less body roll and wallowing over bumps. It is definitely firmer but by no means a harsh ride at all. You can do just front, just rear or both. You'll get the most benefit from all 4 5100's though.

I did 5100 front and rear on my 1500. Much better over the stock Rancho's. As others have said, firms up the ride but doesn't make it harsh. If you're in a pinch then front only would be ok. But I'd do all of them if you can. Rear are the easy ones to install anyway.

Thanks, I am purchasing front and back now. Will post some pictures when I get them installed.

Just for the sake up people considering them, disagree with this very much. Many of us have bought all 4 and slapped the rears on real quick and drove around for awhile. Rears are very important.
