SD Card failure 2021 GMC Sierra SLT

My 8 month old 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 info-display has for the past several days put up a message: "SD Card Failure" and "SD card Removed".  Since I have no idea where the SD card for the Infocenter is or how to remove it I am assuming that the SD card has failed.  My Navigation does not work as well as some of the audio functions. GMC service says bring it in and we will take a look at it.

 

Has anyone else seen this problem and of so what was the resolution.

Map data for Nav is on the SD card.

Card has probably been accidentally ejected. 

 

It's in the storage console, just in front of the usb ports

Thanks for the input, found the location of the SD card, it was not ejected, tried removing and reinserting with the same results

The map cards can only be used on one vehicle -- once used, it is tied to the vehicles VIN.

 

Might want to check the position of the lock switch on the card - and try the other position
