Hello,

I have a 2004 Avalanche, I have a no crank no start problem.

turn key, everything goes away on dash, no crank. Let key go. All lights come back on. Re set passlock and that’s all good. Still no start. Nothing. Zero. Zilch

battery is fully charged days battery charger. You would think that it would start?

here is a pic of a wire I found just laying around not connected. Take in mind I just bought this today!

where does this wire go?

that's hard to say because it's not a factory wire. try taking a jumper cable and go from negative battery to the engine and if that doesn't work try going to the body. if that doesn't work and if it has a stud in the underhood power distribution box try going from positive battery to that stud. it sounds like a bad connection or bad cable but it's also possible it's got a bad starter

That was my whole problem.  That wire is the ground wire to firewall. Someone had left it like that. As soon as I grounded it, went over and started right up

there should be a ground from the battery to the fender that may be  bad or missing or you may have a good body ground and a bad engine ground , it looks like someone added that wire to fix a problem that needs addressing before you get stranded some where
