Hey Everyone,

First off I am glad to be apart of the community, it has help tremendously so far.

Vehicle Information:
2003 S10 Blazer 4x4
4.6 Vortec V6
4L60E Transmission

Here is what's going on:
Truck will not move unless I rev the engine to 2500-3500 RPM. And even that is a dull crawl.

Here is what has changed:
I had burned out my 3-4 clutches and did a full transmission rebuild myself (no I am not a professional however, I am a maintenance tech and have been working on cars for 20+ years) and replaced all the key components. I made sure I did not miss anything and checked multiple times before completing and installing. I know 100% the torque converter was seated correctly during install. I installed a new safety neutral switch due to damaging it when removing the glued in plugs. I also found a broken wire so I installed new connectors for both connections. All is good there I know for sure, wiring is my thing. I also have removed the top transmission cooler line and verified the pump is working. I had to replace the crank shaft position sensor due to it being bad for a while. Cleared all codes with OBD2 Scanner and now I am getting no codes.

The Problem:
I have no codes. Fluid is at the right level when hot and cold. Still have very little movement, however, I do have some movement. I have to rev the truck to 2500-3500 rpm for even the slightest movement but it will move in ALL gears.

I have been researching this for about 2 weeks now, not only on here but all over the web. My research has brought me close but not exact solutions or anything that duplicates my issue. I have even called local transmission shops and they have all said to bring it in and they will have a look, idiots do not understand it wont drive and I am just looking for some good over the phone help. No go there. Please help me! If you have seen this or know what it is please let me know. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Throwing out idea's but maybe the filter dropped down out of the transmission and it isn't getting full fluid to put pressure on the clutches?  Drop the pan and inspect to see if there is anything out of the ordinary.

Sounds like you covered all the basis.  I have heard of this a couple times. Remedies to fix the problems when friends had the problem was the torque converter was shot or not functioning properly, so they swapped it out. That was one fix, the other was the fluid plates and vaccum. That's the one creature that tends to get Chevy owners. They forget that vaccum is used alot in the vehicles. A broken vaccum hose that makes your tranny shift.

One last thought, have you looked at the leads and connections from ecm to tranny? I have heard if those are corroded or bad, they send false signals and vehicles slip in and out of gears..

All vacuums have been checked and they are good. I will have to order a torque converter and try that. I was afraid that would be the issue but I wanted to be sure before I dropped the transmission for the 3rd time. Thank you for the help. I will update as soon as I get the part installed and let everyone know if this was the fix. Thank you!!!

Being as that I replaced the filter and the seal that it seats into, I dont think this is my problem. It was rather solid installing it and I dont think the minor jarring of the transmission during install would have unseated the filter. Thank you for the input though. It is a good thought.

Well I wish I had something to contribute; I have installed a lot of trannys and installed filters in 700rs, turbo 350s, 400s and I installed a B & M shift kit in a turbo 350. I sure would be interested in learning the cause of the trouble. One thing you got going is you know where all the bolts are and none of them are frozen tight.

Dropping trannys suck. Dropped my tranny on my K10 4 times because of faulty torque converter, (2times), the drive kevlar belts broke. (2 times). Thank god for the warranty. Also note Tim's remarks about spinning torque converter, and listen for the 3 clicks. Let us know status.
