Power for new lights

Hi, I recently purchased the Aeroskin hood protector with the running lights.

Can anyone tell me where I would splice the hot lead into the marker light system ?

This is definitely not like it used to be 30 years ago. 

The instructions have me routing the hot and ground wires down the inside of the hood to the firewall area.

That's where the directions end.

you can mount the ground wire any were, power wire run to fuse box ( parking lights fuse )
