Transmission Control System OBD Code

Every few months I get a check engine light.  OBD reader shows P0700 #07E8.  I notice nothing or feel nothing.  I have the 8L90 transmission. In a few days the light goes out.  Because its a pain to leave truck at dealer for days, I have just been ignoring and continuing on.  Any suggestions?   2016 HC.

 

Again, continues to run fine, never had a noticeable problem.

Generic code readers will only spit out that P0700 code to tell you it's transmission related. A higher end scan tool would tell you exactly what P07XX code that is. If you know anyone else with a scan tool they could read the code for you before leaving it at a shop.
