Long Bed Conversion

Does any one have any advice or tips to convert a standard bed (6ft) to a long bed (8ft). Surely someone has done it or attempted. I been looking and haven’t seen anything. What I’m working with is a 2001 Silverado 1500 z71 extended cab standard bed. Any help is appreciated. Please and Thank you.

What are you going to do about the difference in frames?

Cut frame, weld in new frame extension, new driveshaft, probably extend wires and brake lines

Easiest way...sell your current truck and buy a LWB truck

Like shakenfake said, you'd have to cut the frame, weld in new frame extenders, new driveshaft, longer brake lines, electrical wiring, fuel lines, new bed
