After watching the 1st 2 minutes of the below video, it blew my mind that you could get a transmission that hot. So, I thought I'd share it with you to further show you why you need to "flip the pill" on these GM transmissions. No need to watch the whole video but looks at how hot this one got.

Yes, they can get hot and is why running a quality synthetic like AMSOIL can protect it way better than the factory fluid.  Not saying being hot is good, but AMSOIL can help keep from going bad fast if you happen to run it hot.  Nothing can protect the seals and such from intense heat, those will suffer no matter what.
