windows don't work

So a buddy asked me to look at his truck and see if I can fix the windows and the radio. so I say yes. well someone he asked before cut the radio harness out to direct wire it in and well let's just say they didn't know what the hell they was doing. So as they shoved the radio back in the slot they shorted it out and blow like 5 or six fuses I fixed that and the windows don't work after whatever the other person did. would like some Intel on what the issue would be for the windows and I was wondering if the windows run threw the radio? oh its a 2002 gmc Sierra
