Fitting a RCSB on a Suburban chassis

Do any of you know how much difference there is in the frames between the truck and Suburban. I have a 05 Suburban and that thing just rides so good and it's 4x4. I was thinking about swaping the RCSB body over to the burb chassis. I like the truck and just always wondered what it would be like on that chassis.

One thing you have to consider is the suspension set up in the 'Burban compared to the pickup trucks, one of the biggest differences is the absence of leaf springs in the 800 and 900 chassis for the SUVs. Suburbans also have two different exclusive suspension options, AutoRide and Smooth Ride which basically turn road in to puffy clouds and you cannot get these on the trucks. And don't think about trying to retrofit a truck with the Smooth Ride struts either, because it'll make for dangerous and unpredictable handling.

Wheelbase for one is very different, so good luck with that.

Frames are completely different and don't interchange.   The Avalanche was based off the suburban chassis.

Yeah the burb was a auto ride.  This truck was a long bed originally. I shortened the chassis right after I bought it and put a stepside bed on it.  The truck was in a slide off and the original bed was damaged and I just happened upon a stepside bed and well that was that.  I'm wanting to say that's been 5 or 6 years ago time kinda Flys. 

 

Anyways modifying the chassis wouldn't be much of a deal I wouldn't think. I guess I'll have to give it a think. I figured I'd ask a little about that chassis here.
