we have a 2002 chevy silverado that had an 8.1 but we put in a 5.9 cummins. The current setup is the throttle actuator from the 8.1 runs the throttle lever on the manual injection pump, the oe throttle position sensor is also still active, the oe temp, oil pressure and alternator are also still on the truck. as it currently is set up it runs and drives but we don't have a tac and the ecm is sending the oe tcm a negative torque value even when taking off. Result is that it flares very badly on shifts and the individual we have doing the allison tuning has no experience with the 8.1 tuning. If u know of anybody interested in a challenge, here it is. We can't seem to get anywhere with a retrofit kit because there are very few people that take an 8.1 out for a 5.9. only thing we need is to somehow get the torque value from the ecm communication to the tcm to read a positive value when u press the accelorator

Why would you do this? A can of worms.

There is no TCM or ECM on an 02 Silverado. All of it is the PCM. You will need to use the Dodge stuff to make this work
