Sitting the back of the local Chevy dealership... a few new 2003 2500HD regular cabs...

I think they look pretty good in person!  Much better than in photographs..

Zane, judging from the outsides, are those both base model trucks?

 

I've still gotta check out my dealers lot and see if they've gotten anything yet, I just don't get out that way much anymore.

I sure hope they look better in person, because they sure are fugly in photographs.   Even the taillights, which look kind of cool because they have that jewelled look, are all lumpy which messes it up in my eyes.  :ehh:

Tail lights are awesome.  Fronts ARE UGLY

Going off the pics, I'm not too sure I care for those taillights.  Those two big humps look kind of out of place to me.  ???

They look a little like Trailblazer tailights.

Well, I think they look freakin' ugly all around, don't really care for the taillights either.  ??? I really wish I hadn't been eating when I saw these pics, now I have a sick stomach.

I'm with Tom here, those tail-lights just don't look right.

 

 

Now as for the rest of the truck, looks pretty damn good IMO.

 

 

Is the SSR supposed to hit the Dealers at roughly the same time as the '03 Silverados and Sierras?

 

I'm pleasantly surprised with the Silverados.

Tail-lights look pretty good, just doesnt seem like they belong on a Silverado! The front isnt bad, but its not real great IMO! Maybe the 1500s will look a little better! Still dont think I will be tradin  in my '02 for an '03!

i forgot to give my overall opinion...

 

i think they are ugly.  the roundness does not go well with the sharpness.  also it is not much more than a face lift, GM will need more than that (and a much better looking face) if they plan on keeping dodge down and beating ford.  the chevys are a step in the wrong direction, all they did was add ugly to their 99-02 trucks.  the GMCs are better looking IMO.  they flow better.  i do wish they would move the logo on the GMCs to the center of the grille tho, it doesn't look right on the top.  

 

don't count on me buying a silverado anytime soon.

I still don't care too much for the new design (although I still haven't seen one in person),  But these pics do make it look better than the first pics released from GM.  I think the design works on the SS, and would probably look good on a sport truck, but I'm not too sure otherwise.  

 

But that's ok, I like the new GMC's (which I have seen in person )
