I've been trying to find the answers and either I'm not looking hard enough or it's not out there. I have a 2016 1500 and was looking into doing a 2/4" drop (roughcountry lowering kit) and maybe installing some 18" wheels with the Nitto Dura Grapplers. The truck is my daily and I use it to tow my Camaro on an open trailer every now and then (maybe 1-3 times a year).  Question is what size wheel/tire should I go with for 18" or 20" that won't rub or give me any problems?

I have a 2/4 drop and am running stock size 275/55R20. The only time they rub is reversing with the wheel at full turn, and it just touches the wheel well liner.

If you use stock size 265/65R18 it will be good

You can drop the rear roughly 3.4in without doing a whole kit for the rear, just needs drop shackles and removing the rear lift block. You do have to cut the factory bump stop in half to give it more room.

When I tow trailers I am barely above the bump stops and it's likely riding it when it hits bumps but it does just fine for me.

It's just another option instead of doing a flip kit with helper bags for towing.
