4L80E no reverse solutions?

My 4L80E isn't going in reverse and has hard shifts as I have posted before. Still waiting on BackOrdered trans valvebody spacer but anyway...

 

Has anyone else had a 4L80E no reverse and hard shifting?

 

If so what was the cause of your problem and what solved it?

 

When I took to investigating my trans issue I found out my trans cooler lines had both been "patched" (poorly) and were leaking. So topped the fluid up before taking the trans bottom half apart. The top up didn't fix the problem.

 

So when I went deeper, I drained the fluid etc. No metal shavings / debris in the pan that was evident.

 

The electrical components internally that had the small screens, were all coated in trans fluid residue, and have since cleaned it all up but havnt reassembled.

 

So any insights on what others have done would be great.
