Low profile tires on larger wheels doesn't help ride quality either. I noticed that my AT4 wheels were "upgraded" to 20" with one of the add on packages. I purposely kept the 18" wheels to have more sidewall on my tires to absorb better. I still have all of the options I want, I just had the options from that package added individually to leave out the wheel size upgrade. Tires are an important part of ride quality that some people forget.

Yeah, when I test drove multiple trucks prior to ordering my 2021 3500hd, it was clear that the 20 inch optional wheels and tires gave a bit rougher ride. They did make the truck corner like a giant sports car. I ordered the 18s for a better ride and more sidewall for airing down.  I’m very happy with the base SLT 18 inch wheels and Michelin tires.

I wouldn’t consider a truck with 20 inch wheels. 18 max for me.

Some people prefer a certain appearance at the expense of comfort. I'm not one of them either. If I want a sports car I'll go buy one.
