HD Tailgate camera

I bought a tailgate camera that has a HD camera in it.  I was thinking it would be a one for one swap. Nope!  My camera has a GM style connector and the camera has a fakra connector.  Any one have any ideas if I have to replace the whole tailgate harness or is there like adapter?  I have googled and cant seem to find the connector that I have just the fakra.  Any help would be great.

No can do.  No adapter as the cameras are wired entirely different.

 

The standard def camera RPO code UVC has a 5 pin connector and uses two wires for + and - signal, a low reference line, ground and ignition voltage.

 

The HD camera RPO code UVB uses only a COAX line with that Fakra end.  That's it.  

 

The tailgate harness as well as the entire wiring in the chassis harness would be totally different.

 

You need to install the proper camera.
