2000 gmc sierra 4.8, 3.73 diff swap tire size

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I have a 2000 sierra with a 4.8. It came with the 3.42 open diff but when they stripped I swapped to a 3.73. It's getting time for new tires so my question is this would 235/75/R16 or 255/70/R16 preform better? The 235/75/R16 came on the truck stock but that was with the old diff. I have a calibration tool to change the tire and diff size in the ECU so if there's a better size I'm open to better suggestions but I'm leaning really hard on these 2 options.
