Hello all,

I had some long tube headers put on my 2018 5.3 silverado with a high flow 160 stat and a "street tune/calibration", the truck ran great without the radiator fans running all the time.

This tune/calibration was taken off.

I recently got a Dyno tune done to the truck and my radiator fans are running NON STOP.

Was this because the technician made a mistake and didn't realize I changed my thermostat, or is it even with a high flow 160 stat the fans now have to run all the time?

please advise, thanks a lot!

What is the cluster saying for temp and what is a handheld scanner saying for engine temp?

If they are both equal or very similar then it's not the temp sensor at fault. I think the fans can run if the temp is too low though, a 160 thermostat is not needed anyway even if you live in Texas or Arizona. The truck will heat soak regardless.

HI, I'm supposed to go back this Friday for something else and figured I would bring it up to them at that time, not sure what the cluster and scanner are saying regarding temp.  We're in Florida.
