I recently had my 2019 Silverado RST inspected and the dealer told me that my rear brakes were close to needing new pads and rotors. I ordered the parts and just prior to receiving the parts the DIC displayed a message "Service Brake pad Monitor". So we replaced the pads and rotors. While doing so, we noticed that the inner pads were nearly worn out while the outer pads had plenty of "meat" on them. We also noticed the pad sensor wire was worn out, so I ordered one of those as well. Brakes work great, but I am unable to reset the Rear break pad life and the Service Brake pad monitor message comes up every time I start the truck. and when I scroll down to the Brake Pad system it shows a "Service System" error. Since my truck is 4 years old, I have no intentions of paying to have this ridiculous over monitored system fixed or reset. I see by other Posts that others are having similar problems. I have to wonder why my dealer didn't notice the uneven pad wear in the prior two inspections. All necessary parts have been replaced and I'm in for about $300 already. Too many sensors on these vehicles. Just another item to break to squeeze more service bucks out of the customer. Perturbed to say the least.

I have also been having issues with my front brake pad wear monitor sensor. overall it's not a big deal but it would just be nice to check the system once every month while you're driving instead of having to lift my truck and take off the wheel to look at my brake pad wear through the calipers.

I had been fiddling around with leveling my truck for the last couple of years and testing different size spacers on the Front Struts and my Brake Sensors were working fine and read the brake pad life fine, When I put on the 6 inch Rough Country Lift with the N3 Struts up front and shocks in rear, my front brake sensor now is not registering brake pad wear, I think this time around I must have either stretched the sensor cable too much and/or it has disconnected somewhere, I looked at the Spindles last weekend, where the sensor cable goes into it and it looks fine, I just haven't had the time to follow the cable and see where it goes into the Engine Bay, but will begin troubleshooting now that the weather is getting nicer.
