Does anyone know if a 1999 Silverado 2500 engine and transmission would fit in a 2015 gmc 1500? The gmc is a 4x4 and the Silverado is not, possibly could be some workarounds?

Not directly possibly with a stand alone harness !! The 99 is an ls engine and the 15 is an lt so no it won't communicate with the 15 at all

Basically zero work arounds, don't even try it.

You need a 2014+ engine. Ideally a 2014-2015 to be direct plug and play. I believe 2016-2018's use a different high pressure fuel pump, but that can be swapped.
