I have a 2015 Silverado 5.3 with 114k miles. Over the last few months, there has been a hesitation, jerking when accelerating from a lower speed around 25mph. It’s fine til about 25 or so mph then starts to hesitate, jerk a little as it switches gears. If you press the gas down hard, it shifts no problem. No other issues at high speeds. The issue does not appear to happen when the tow mode is on.

Can anyone provide any insight? Transmission issue? I’m reading a lot about the Chevy shudder and vibrations. My truck does not have a vibration feeling like a rumble strips that people are describing.

also, had a DOD delete done about a year ago. The issue started about a year after the DOD delete

Any insight or help would be appreciated.

Similar issue here with my 19 work truck. Issue is the transmission oil pump, due to the torque convertor failing. All that is due to a non traceable leak. Low on fluid. Once filled runs better for a while. Need to rebuild my work trans, but they won't until it's left me stranded....

I appreciate it. Might take it to a transmission shop to get it assessed. Would rather solve the problem now before it leaves me stranded also

Check your transmission fluid level

Sounds like transmission.  Converter and possibly the pump, either one or a combination of both.

Tow/Haul mode bumps the shift pressures up so a weak or worn pump may be benefiting from the raise in fluid pressures and that's why it smooths out with T/H on.
