I have read on this and other GMC/Chevy blogs about people having issues with their Infotainment System "ghosting" (changing stations, changing apps, etc.). Most recently, mine actually stopped navigation and rerouted me home while I was in Indianapolis traffic!?! I noticed where California has a civil case against GM regarding 2020-2022 models but cannot find where GM is acknowledging / recalling the earlier models and I cannot find any evidence of civil action for 2014-2018 models.

I have recently filed a claim with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in hopes that they may force GMs hand. I highly recommend anyone having issues do the same, as the NHTSA will look for similar complaints in order to push for action. Thanks!

Replace the screen digitizer -sold on eBay or elsewhere

YouTube has a few videos on how to dismantle and replace.
it took me about 30 minutes start to finish.
good luck.

I’m in a 2015 Sierra and then 1 year later GM puts the CarPlay trash in this rolling dumpster. Just like @CGChambers, my infotainment trash started ghosting. It was brutally frustrating to pay $60,000 for this heaping pile to fail so epically as it has.

So instead of replacing the screen digitizer, is it possible to replace my entire head unit with a 2016 unit? One that has that CarPlay junk?
