Steering issues with newly installed 295/70r18 Cooper AT3

So I had the 295/70r18 Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT put on my stock trail boss on Wednesday, zero rub. Now, whenever I make a tight turn it feels like there’s a loss of power when accelerating. Taking it on Monday to get it checked out. no lights, no noises… could it be the power steering?

  The people say they are not needed generally say that because they say its mostly not oil the can has in it. Reading various threads, you'll see people say that the can heats and cools causing condensation. They say that even though there is some oil in the liquid you pour out, it's not enough to amount to anything. I used to run cans on my engines and I would pour out about a half a quarts worth of liquid during the OIC. However, I did not loose half a quart of oil during the same time frame. With that in mind, I stopped using them and said screw it. Right or wrong, that is the way I went. Even if there is only a small amount, a can will help keep it out of the engine. Its not going to hurt anything to run it unless you forget to dump it. Will it make a difference long term, who knows.

  I miss the old school stuff. I have Xpel tent on every window in the truck. Sadly, FL heat said it didnt care. Granted, the system will still cool down the cab eventually. But man does it take a min. When you first get in you feel like youre the turkey on thanksgiving.

  7/4/2026 Maintenance Update I gave Jason a bit of a blank check (within reason). If you find something, fix it don't tell me about it (within reason). AC clutch crapped out. I've been hearing if for near a year and milked for all it was worth. Used unit going in. We'll see on the belt and tensioner. We have an understanding on what this truck is and what I'm willing yet to do. Added to the list I gave him. So far few surprises. Not much longer.
