2023 Silverado Has been in Transit since end of June

I put money down on A Silverado 1500 June 26th....dealer and Chevy website said vehicle was in transit....Now we are darn near at end of august and it still shows the same, however there are 24 Silverados and Sierras that are on dealer lots already....I really want a 3.0 with the MultiPro Tailgate in White...Short bed...White is preferred or dark blue....dealer cant seem to get any info from Chevy....any ideas?  Thanks

I put down $500.00 on a 2023 Trail Boss Custom on August 4th. The truck was scheduled to be built within 2 weeks of that date. I got a call from the dealer on August 18th who told me he was surprised that the truck should be delivered on Aug. 24th. I thought that was too quick to be true. Today I saw my dealer and he told me the latest prediction that my truck should be here on Aug. 29th. We will see.

I know that nationwide there are not enough rail cars or semi truck car haulers and there are thousands of new pickups that are built and are sitting in storage in Indiana, Michigan and elsewhwere. That being said, you need some answers from your dealer as to the status of your truck. I would contact your dealer and give him the "opportunity" to locate your truck and give you a status update or get your money back and shop for a new truck somewhere else.

Delays at the rail yards, shortages of car haulers, etc.  

 

We've got 2023s we are just getting in now that were built before or around yours and they are just arriving, yet we've gotten 4 2024 1/2 tons already.
