Ok, so I have to sing the praises about my new steering wheel. I will also include praises to the seller.

So, this steering wheel was a bit pricey, but, well worth the money spent for the comfort it provides, and absolutely sharp as a tack in my truck. It’s also a bit beefier than the original wheel.

It’s handmade with real carbon fiber, perforated leather, and the stitching matches my seat covers (black leather with red stitching and red piping). With the carbon fiber accents on the dash (and soon to be center console), this is the centerpiece I’ve been waiting for.

Also, a nice touch, it’s not cocked to the side a bit like the factory wheels when you change them over to leather or change them in general. It lines right up with my column like the old one.

Now, on to the seller, by the name of JiangGai on eBay. These guys (or gals) are in China. DON’T STOP READING, DON’T LET THAT FOOL YOU. This steering wheel is crafted better than the factory wheels, in my honest opinion. Their customer service was absolutely amazing. I’ve never had such fast responses, and every time I had a request (due to my order mishap), they were more than happy to accommodate me. I never got one rude message or complaint from them when I had several things to ask. They were more than happy to update me every time I asked about status, and they confirmed the product before shipping so there were no mistakes. Absolutely perfect experience.

One last thing. They listed the shipper as SpeedPAK standard. Wrong. It shipped via FedEx International Priority, and flew from Dongguan, Guanggong, China on Thursday night, and arrived on my doorstep in Virginia, today (Monday). Unbelievably fast. I was impressed. USPS and UPS should take notes.

You didn't splurge for the shift light and whatever other functions they offer? I wondered how these were in person. I saw them while looking for stuff after I ordered my truck back in 21. If I remember they were about $1200+ back then.

I thought about it, but I’m not good with electronics….and the only one I could find that was a bolt-on application was $1,700 more than the one I bought. This one was $500.

Besides, in an automatic without paddle shifters, why would I need the shift light, am I right?

They DID ask me if mine was heated; however, I don’t know how to retrofit the heated wheel, if possible. Phil Gamboa might have the answer, but the way mine is set up, I don’t see the need.

I’m sure I could have added all the bells and whistles, but this one fits my needs and wants just right. It’s very ergonomic.

My brother, who owns a 2018 challenger 392, says his steering wheel is shaped identically to this one. He approves! Lol

Must be another company I saw that wanted $1200 for one like that. I think that one was made in Europe somewhere. I have a High Country heated wheel I swapped onto my Custom. As far as I know you can only make it work if something is enabled in the BCM. No dealer will do that. Hell, I can't even get the dealer I bought my truck from to enable my fog lights because I didn't buy the kit from their parts department, even though it is a GM kit with the code to program them.

As far as your fog lights go, your dealer is worthless, I wired mine in, they didn’t even ask where they came from. I gave them the code and they programmed with remote start (I bought that package from them and they programmed both at the same time).

does your heat work?

Absolutely. The dealer I usually go through didn’t question where I got my fog lights. They programmed them at the same time I had them program remote start into my truck. He needs to find a different dealer.

Looks awesome! I wanted that as well but the price point wasn't in budget. I ended up wrapping the wheel from EastDetailing. Didn't get the look bottom like yours but eh, was only like $100.

I would recommend getting this to complete the look (I got it on my truck)

Truthfully, I have carbon fiber accents all over the dash, and wanted to keep the synthesis pieces as a nice offset to the carbon/black. I thought about it.

Here’s what I’ve done in carbon fiber:

lower radio plate (the whole thing, it covers the black entirely)

driver and passenger air vents (tufskinz, because they don’t cover the synthesis chrome plating)

glove box handles

door handle bowls

window switch panels

roof console

dome light

parking brake trim

obviously the steering wheel lol

It doesn’t help that I had to mask the silver off on my steering wheel faceplate and paint the black (was very dark atmosphere). GM had a packaging mishap where I tried to order 84649074 and kept getting 84649076…so I spent $10 instead on a can of Krylon Fusion Matte Black paint and fixed it myself. I had a spare steering wheel lying around with the synthesis plate in front and buttons I took out for my cluster swap.
