When I crank my truck in the morning blue smoke exits the tailpipe and the truck seems like it is flooding but the smoke clears up and the truck is running smooth . What seems to be the problem?

What year is your truck? What engine? How many miles?

I had a 1979 Olds Cutlass back as my first car, it was equipped with a 305 small block. Did the same thing at first start up, blue smoke that cleared up after about a minute. My issue was the valve seals were worn. Car had 155,000 miles.

If it's a puff of smoke right at startup that goes away within seconds, that's most likely oil leaking past the valve seals.  It'll cost way more to fix than it's worth.  Nothing to get too worked up about.
