Cargo bed camera RPO:UVN

I have not been able to find an answer for this topic anywhere. I have a 23 Silverado RST, I do not have the cargo/bed camera RPO:UVN on my truck. Am I able to buy the part and install it say from a high country, or is the wiring not available? I assume would probably need to have the truck module updated to recognize it or? I find aftermarket options for the rearview camera install.

you could buy the brake light with the camera and a rear view mirror with video display. the other option is to contact wams and see if they have a solution, it won't be cheap

The factory set-up for having video display for both is a CHMSL with 2 cameras.

The rear view camera displays on the rearview mirror. (it's a different mirror, with controls for the camera)

The bed camera displays on the centre screen. 

 

Fwiw, we have 2 vehicles that have rearview cameras that were part of a package that included other optional items that we wanted.

Neither of us use the rearview mirror camera in either vehicle. 

 

Not often, but I do use the bed-view camera occasionally.

Thank you both, so is the wiring there and all I really have to do it drop my headliner and replace the third brake light and it would show up on the infotainment system for the cargo bed. For the review mirror, i would have to buy the mirror and probably the wiring along with running that to the front. Is there any concern with having to flash or update my entertainment center? I do see that a company sells the package for the rearview mirror but not the cargo bed. I find that helpful when carrying things back there and not sure if items have shifted and potentially could fly out. Yes it has happened before.

For anyone following so far I have not found a solution.

I have checked with the below vendors and each do not offer the cargo UVN cargo camera. 

• Infotainment - Does offer the rear view camera view
• whiteautomedia
• gen5DIY
• GM direct and multiple dealerships in the Denver area.
