I only have 55k miles on my 14 Silverado.  The rear end bearings are shot.  Do I have any chance of having GM pay for part of this repair?  I feel these failed very prematurely.

My answer is a solid nope.

It's a 9 year old truck as this point, they don't care at all what fails and how soon it did. My parents lost a lifter at 50k miles on their 2016 truck, it was out of warranty and they wouldn't offer any help whatsoever and that was in 2021.

There are several bearings in the rear end, which one(s) are bad? The pinion bearings, the side bearings on the diff itself or the axle bearings out by the wheels?

The pinion bearings and the side ones.  I’m thinking it’s a no too that GM would do anything.   It’s just disappointing.  I bought the truck new and have dealt with quite a few problems.
