Waze/infotainment?

Waze/car play has never worked on my 23 Sierra Denali.

I have a one year old I phone and it works perfectly on my 22 vette. The waze icon and spotify show up on the side in the vette.

Dealer just checked it for a third time and wants to order a whole new radio.

They just replaced the usb port which they said could have something to with it. Makes no sense to me. Works seamlessly and wirelessly on the vette.

One weird thing is after replacing the usb port the spotify worked for the first time. No icon but it worked.

Rebooted everything to no avail.

My phone has always worked fine, and text messages show up on the screen.

The car play icon always looks dark.

Any comments appreciated.

Delete the phone from being paired in the Infotainment. Shut the truck off, exit, close and lock the doors, walk away.

 

Delete the truck from the phone. Power the phone down. Wait 30 seconds, power the phone back up.

 

Get a -quality- MFi-certified USB cable.

 

Enter the truck, start it, plug in the phone. Follow the various prompts.

I started another thread to inform people that the dealer ended up replacing my whole radio and it's finally working.

About time/nice to have finally working.
