2015 Silverado Z71 5.3L 4x4 Transmission/Converter Issues.

I have a 2015 Silverado Z71 5.3L 4x4 with 160k miles.  Within the last couple of days it started off with a studer going up hills at low RPMs.  Level Ground and down hill no issues.  Full Throttle there was no issues.  This morning the convert started slipping kinda like a bad clutch in a manual.  This afternoon it seems a bit smoother and I didn't notice the slipping  but the Transmission will not shift into 5th or 6th gear.  Am I looking at a transmission rebuild and converter replacement or is there something simpler that I should be looking at?

Likely a full rebuild. The converter probably has been going out for a while and it slowly takes out of the front pump and damages the clutches inside. Making it to 160k on a stock unit isn't half bad with the failure rate of these torque converters at higher mileage.
