Z71 Option and Other Options

Lets say I find a 2500 HD and  it has what we would like in options minus the Factory Spray In Bedliner . Would it be an option to get the Pickup Box sprayed with a LIne X product or similar product and then get the Gooseneck / Fifth wheel package  put in later  if we wanted to go that route with a trailer instead of a tow behind ? The Factory Spray in Bedliner seems quite robust . Wonder  how it compares to a LineX ?

Very similar product to LineX.  

 

If you find a truck that doesn't have the factory gooseneck holes and the liner sprayed, I would install the hitch first then have the bed sprayed as that's how the factory does them that way it seals the edges of the bed holes that were just drilled.

I'm looking at some build sheets / Vehicle  Locator  sheets from a dealer it has codes on it and what the codes are reffering to but some of the explanations are not great to me .

For example     YM8  LPO Processing Option

YM8 just means the truck has LPO (Limited Production Options) dealer installed options (mudflaps, running boards, etc.) that were ordered with the vehicle via the ordering workbench.

I'm not finding much information on the seats in the 2024 2500 HD Custom Trim Level . Even the build your truck on GM's website is a bit sketchy . Exactly what colour are the seat offerings it says Jet Black but one option looks to be on the gray side . Is there a code that tells you what is what . I looked in the code book that Capt Bob provided a link to but cant find it.

Both are black.  Option code H1T is jet black with manual seats split bench, H0U is jet black with power seat and split bench.  

 

H0U is the same cloth that is in LT trim so "up level" cloth.  H1T is the base cloth.  I think there's just a slight difference in the pattern or feel?

Strange as I'm sure with the Custom Trim Level one type looked  deep gray the other real black I will see if I can post something

Aside from manual vs power, the only real difference I see in those bolster sections are of a different finish.  H0U has a slightly lighter and different fabric in the bolster the best I can tell in these pictures.  But they are the same color fabric of "Jet Black".

Does any factory paint fair better than others ? I' m thinking on Slate Grey Metallic  , Sterling Silver Metallic or Black

[Epsilon Plus]

Metallic will create an optical illusion of sorts for the eye as far as scratches or imperfections. Your eye is so busy picking up all the glitter in it that a hairline scratch or scrape in the clearcoat doesn't stand out as much nor does general coat of dust, especially on silver.

 

I do not buy cars without metallic in them for that reason. Also, expect all GM paint to be egg shelled. It's not laid on by a hotrod lover and then wet sanded. Everything from a Corvette Z06 to a Spark has that classic GM eggshell finish. It holds up as good as any other modern water based finish does. Get what color you like.

Hello, I am purchasing the 2025 Chevrolet 3500 LTZ dual wheel which has a towing capacity of +31K pounds. I add the Z6A option. But do you know if the equipment installed with the Z6A option can support at least 30K. Or it is only 25K or even 20K, Thanks.

Trailer Hitch Part Number: 84632891. But I can't find towing capacity.
