I am glad mine won't have the markers either.

Not having roof markers is a contribution to the delinquency of an HD. Kinda like the baby mirrors. 😉

No way. Because all hd trucks come with the mirrors they serve a purpose. Lights not so much.

I like the roof markers on my truck. Neighbor told me that my truck looks like a Christmas tree coming down the street at night. There’s no reason someone could say that they couldn’t see me when they pull out in front of me.

The factory drills 5 holes in the bed floor.  As far as the hitch goes, when the frame is assembled they install a factory engineered hitch setup to the frame.  Its basically a hidden rail setup that uses 4 90 degree lock holes for 5th wheel and one big hole in the center that a gooseneck ball locks into.

20-22 GMC SIERRA 2500 NTO 5TH WHEEL / GOOSENECK TRAILER HITCH OEM PREP PACKAGE - Picture 1 of 10

And here's a thread on someone here installing the 15-19 factory setup on a truck that didn't come with it:

At this point I'm surprised they aren't mandated because of how wide these trucks are (just over 80 inches not counting the mirrors).  Cab roof markers are required actually on vehicles over 80" wide to notate that they are a wide vehicle.   So duallies will all come with them no matter what for example but on the single rear wheel trucks, its not required.  It can be seen as a looks thing if you will.

As far as leaks, eh.  Factory installed they usually hold up pretty good.  Its when you try an install them on a truck that didn't come with them is where leaks seem the most common.

Thank You Again NewDude ! Appreciated !

I just saw something on another forum where they mentioned that the Factory Gooseneck / 5th wheel  puck package is made by Curt ? Is this true  ? Also if so can you order as a part number from GM and or Curt and I think as you mentioned it could be put in if the truck did not come with that option ?  I would want it put in as if it came just from the factory spec wise and location wise . Also what about the factory wiring harness that I think comes from the factory with this option ? ? I may have found the truck I like but it does not have the gooseneck 5th wheel package .

My apoligies for being so ****** !

Thank You !

All right here:  Trailering | Chevrolet Accessories

GM has their own branded gooseneck ball kit, but Curt has one themselves as well (I'm sure its them making the GM one most likely).  As for 5th wheel, they sell the Curt ones under a GM part #.  They have 3 of the direct puck fit hitches available.  You can also cash in your MyRewards points you will get from buying the truck towards them as well.

My buddy just sent pics of his 24 WT. Has the plastic steering shield but no front diff/oil pan skid. Also no tiny transfer case skid. If you want those without having to add them after (they are cheap and the holes will be drilled for it) tick the Z71 box. My buddy will be getting my stuff as I change to ZR2 gear.

If'n your in CA and your truck was ordered by a CA dealer, the state thinks your roof lights imitate police cars, thus has outlawed them on single rear wheel pickups. I'm sure rpo codes has it listed as a Cali delete number.

California Vehicle Code 27606

Would anyone know where I can find all the codes for ordering or the codes they use for building a 2500 HD or 3500HD

I'm looking at some build sheets / Vehicle  Locator  sheets from a dealer it has codes on it and what the codes are reffering to but some of the explanations are not great to me .

For example     YM8  LPO Processing Option

Thank You
