Hello, I am purchasing the 2025 Chevrolet 3500 LTZ dual wheel which has a towing capacity of +31K pounds. I add the Z6A option. But do you know if the equipment installed with the Z6A option can support at least 30K. Or it is only 25K or even 20K, Thanks.

Trailer Hitch Part Number: 84632891. But I can't find towing capacity.

Depends on what ball you put in the hitch. But the hitch itself will take whatever the trailering information label on the drivers door jamb says, plus more.

Z6A hitch supports whatever the highest tow rating GM has possible.  So a 2wd regular cab dually diesel with NHT max trailer which is rated for 36,000lbs 5th/goose, or a 4x4 high country dually gas which is rated for 17,600lbs 5th/goose, they use the same hitch.

That said, your tow ratings will be published in your driver's door jamb specific to your VIN.  It will have max rating for conventional towing and 5th wheel/gooseneck.

I’m glad GM has finally started putting hitches on that are rated for the same (or more) as the truck. The conventional hitch on my 2500 has a sticker saying it’s rated for 20k even though my truck is only 14.5k.

I recall my 2009 1500 was rated for 7500lbs but the factory hitch was only 6k so I had to replace it.
